One of my friends who is a gd/go for like 10 years is moving to Dublin in next month, but she isn't good in job search. I used some of my agency network contacts to get her a job but local outlets of the agencies aren't recruiting. She is a bit shy but a really good workforce, and never heard bad about her from anyone. She is up to everything small or big what includes working on her field of expertise or beyond that. Coffe serving and other secretarial tasks aren't her strengths.
Can anyone suggest some ways to find her a job there, or point me in to the right direction? I would really appreciate it.
(i'm just trying to help a friend)
Does she have an online portfolio? It was years ago, but I remember I built up a list of all Dublin companies I thought I could work for, and I cold-emailed them all. I got some interviews and offers out of it, some freelance contacts still going.
It was in the Celtic Tiger days, but I hear they're coming back, huh...
As far as coming in looking for work with nothing arranged though, I think London is a safer bet still.
Thanks guys for your support. I'm glad that she was be able to find some interesting opportunities using prosperity and 100archive, we selected some companies and pulled their names from a hat :). She has now 4 interview dates for the next month :) thanks again :)
