Are the guns special and don't shoot real bullets?
Could a guest kill another guest by accident?- I couldn't stop thinking about this. How are stray bullets not a concern?DRIFTMONKEY
- In the movie, the gun given to guests have heat sensors that mean they cannot be fired towards a human. But this now makes me wonder: are the robot whores cold?Luda

In the original movie, the man in black was a robot that killed the main character guest.

So James Marsden arrives with the real people on the train every day and turns down the hooker every day?
- I was wondering how the 2 females on the train knew he was a droid ... Unless this wasn't they're first time at Westworld.Ramanisky2
- Ram, I got the sense the roboids came online while already on the train.DRIFTMONKEY

So in the show, Roman World and Medieval World no longer exist according to the model?
- The show is not a remake of the film. It's not been mentioned in the first episode. But could exist.HAYZ1LLLA

In the first episode they were pretty cavalier about the MIB scalping that native american guy... racial violence against native americans still gets a pass with much less thought than against other peoples.
- It's called creative license.cannonball1978
- Besides, nobody bats an eye when the injuns come a scalpin'cannonball1978
- though scalping was invented by native americans, it was more frequently perpetrated by colonists. and it's surely racial, tantamount to lynching for blackssarahfailin
- This isn't a history show, who gives a shit?robthelad

Maybe the "next level" is the collective unconscious of the hosts, their dream-world where their deleted memories still exist in some fashion.
- ESKEMA0
The next level I think is the new game that Ford has been planning for some time like he said, and the MIB said he's been coming there for 30 years, so I think he picked on some clues that Ford has been planting.

That speech by Ford at the end was great. "people know who they are... this just tells us more about you".
Has he invented a religion for the robots to believe in?

This was the 'Disclosure and Consent' from Central Casting...
You are being given this Disclosure & Consent to Work because you have knowingly and freely accepted an assignment as a background actor on the project Westworld (the"Project") and understand and accept the nature of the assignment as described below. This document serves to inform you that this project will require you to be fully nude and/or witness others fully nude and participate in graphic sexual situations. By accepting this Project assignment, you may be required to do any of the following: appear fully nude; wear a pubic hair patch; perform genital-to-genital touching; have your genitals painted; simulate oral sex with hand-to-gential touching; contort to form a table-like shape while being fully nude; pose on all fours while others who are fully nude ride on your back; ride on someone's back while you are both fully nude; and other assorted acts the Project may require.....
the full consent is here
- sounds like fun to meIanbolton
- What job hasn't at some time requested you wear a public hair patch?ETM
- That's the same form we make our interns sign.BK
- 'grab em by the pussy' ...
is that anywhere in this consent form?Ramanisky2

"McPoyle" might be a different timeline altogether. Theory he may be the man black seems a stretch, but you have to admit, there is enough here to suggest this happened in the past.
- that's a good one, didn't think of thatRamanisky2
- and makes a lot of sense.Ramanisky2
- second episode in and we're making assumptions like this. What an awesome show.Ianbolton
- in the first episode it's explained that he is in real time. isn't?sted

My favorite scene so far has to be Maeve waking up from surgery, and stumbling into the facility. We see Abernathy lose it over a "photo" he could not explain... Can you fucking imagine the fear, the absolute terror of seeing what she saw, knowing only the old west. The facility is unexplainable to someone completely sensitized to their contrived condition. Then, BAM! You see all these naked corpses that appear to be just disposed of like refuse. It's a brilliant scene, showing us, the audience what we already know, but through the eyes of someone(thing) that could not possibly process what is happening. I would make a correlation to what it would be like if one of us, suddenly woke up on an alien ship. There would be no comprehension or understanding of anything. You would most likely pass out from shock, or have a heart attack from the terror.
