"Bernard Lowe is an anagram of Arnold Weber."
- reanimate0
What if everyone on the show are robots? Robots took over a long time ago and started running the park. I'm surprise this isn't a theory yet.

i dunno, 40 years doesn' seem long enough for EVERYONE to forget what arnold looked like. surely someone would point out that bernard is the spitting image of our glorious founder?
- And we saw a picture of young Ford and Arnold. Arnold wasn't black anyway.

- Will have to go back and watch - who was looking at that photo in that shot? Was it Bernard? That might explain why the 3rd person "wasn't there".bulletfactory
- ^ It was Bernard.Ramanisky2
- Jackass' lawyers couldn't find anything about him, and it looks like Dolores (and Yul Brynner?) may have massacred the original staff in the past.i_monk

- After reading this thread and on Reddit I guess everyone saw the twist coming, but still well executedyuekit
- <Good old Scanners gif. So useful.CyBrainX
- yeah seeing the twists coming, but still a damn entertaining show. I think mostly because of Hopkins.inteliboy
- Some good writing too. The idea of him achieving full awareness only after he rejected his past as a lie was pretty powerful.yuekit
- And he's been on that same path, coming to that same realisation, many time. RESET!robthelad

So Billy ≠ MiB?
- ********2
The last two episodes got way deeper than I'd have expected, but damn I was totally blown away by what's been happening through the end of season 1, only one more episode to go. One of those very unique shows really, and I can't imagine casting anyone other than Hopkins himself for Ford. Damn.

what
the
fuck
- Ramanisky20
- yeah that's the biggest question of all :)sted
- They showed Delores with mechanical parts too. When Logan stabbed her.BabySnakes
- She was the first host I thought.monospaced
- Yeah, she is one of the original's still kicking about. Even though they said the first ones were not as life like, yet she is.ETM
- she's an iPhone 1.0 with a 10.1.1 iOSRamanisky2
- I assumed they would transfer host data to upgraded body.BabySnakes
- ^ That's possible. I'm not sure "original host" was clarified to mean personality or physical body.ETM
- so what if logan left that photo when he was in westworld at the first time? and it triggered a memory in dolores dads?sted
- Beeswax0
I began to think every host is based on someone real.
So William might be based on MIB's youth, when he first came to park, and they can be in the same timeline now.
This was also what that Board girl had said. The goal of Delos is not to entertain people, it is to collect information about people.
Hosts are collecting this info from guests for years and certain new hosts are maybe being built on that.In the future they can replace the real ones in real life with their own clones. Maybe they already did.
- always thought hector was based on loganbrandelec
- Info like: penis size, sexual endurance, fetishes, left-handed v right handed, etc.sarahfailin

also, are there multiple Bernards or hosts ??
because he was with Theresa while speaking to Elsie on the phone and moments later Elsie is assaulted or killed by Bernard during his 'down memory lane' trip last episode.
- bainbridge0
So who's the third guy in the photo with Ford and Arnold?
- I assume that's Bernard, maybe??Ramanisky2
- ford's dadbrandelec
- ford / ford's dad / bernarnoldbrandelec
- ^ Apparently this.ETM
- Pic looked photoshopped from space.sarahfailin
- bainbridge0
The blueprint Theresa found said "Bernard" but in the flashback Ford had to think of a name when he came alive?
- we couldn't see what it said on blueprint. we saw 'dolores' though on the other onebrandelec
- Yeah I never saw it say Bernard...sarahfailin

Why are the techies giving into Maeve?
- because of certain indiscretions brought upon the droids by the techies that she is using as blackmail.Ramanisky2
- I'm still finding it a little hard to swallow, though. It's gone a little to far to be reasonable.ETM
- haaaaaaa, this guyrobthelad
- one of the guys was caught having sex with the hosts, which means job termination and jailtime, the other one kinda wants to do it because he sees her as humanMiguex
- bainbridge0
Do you think Westworld is a fake world or built on actual canyons and forests?
- Like San Junipero in Black Mirror??Ramanisky2
- ^
Nah, more like Manteca Falls, I thinkMiguex
- scarabin1
^ my thoughts on that–
the only place big enough to contain such a massive place would be space, and i don't think it would be very interesting if that chick and her horde escapes westworld only to find themselves contained in a station or ship. i see the threat being them mixing with the rest of normal society.
which makes me think westworld's sky is actual sky, and the mountains are actual mountains. there's enough land in the southwest to contain it, for sure.
however, why are the animals fake? why the fake birds and snakes? wouldn't real birds and wildlife be mixed in with the robotic ones?
UNLESS they did it all underground, which seems like more trouble than it's worth. digging miles of cavern and lighting it all? that's just crazy (but then so is space)
- Truman ShowRamanisky2
- may be an island? i think droid animals because they can. they mention the cost of creating hosts as being more effective than before, so why not build embrandelec
- If you want animals to play roles in narratives, they need to be fake. Would real vultures circle a dead host, for example?ETM
- Or what about crossing paths with a snake that is sure not to bite? I am sure there are very mundane elements to many narratives.ETM
- yeah that's truescarabin
- island would work i guess but they'd have to redo all of the terrain to be desert instead of tropical or whateverscarabin
- another massive pain in the assscarabin
- http://www.slashfilm…ETM
- But it could still be an island. "Delos Incorporated". Delos is an actual Greek island and in mythology was the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis.ETM
- Twins, Apollo is often associated with the sun, Artemis with the moon, in an almost Yinyang relationship, often working together.ETM
- Ethical issues with killing animals too, maybe. Certainly horses...********
- if it is just regular terrain, it would be a pain in the ass making sure nobody flew a plane or drone into the areamonospaced
- robotic animals makes sense to keep the place safer and on-script, but also makes it a hassle to remove any real creatures ... crazy shitmonospaced

Has anyone mentioned or considered if the "event" 30 years ago could be what happened in the original movie? Likely not, but it would be a nice call back.
- 30 years ago, Delores killed Arnold. Teddy helped.robthelad
- It clearly is.doggydoggdog
- @robthelad - Sure, but more than just that happened, I suspect. They should the lower levels of the building after.ETM
- *should = shut downETM
