I'm in a good place financially and have never tried making money off the stock market.
Any good resources? Any tips?
I want to start small. I know it's really like gambling so I want to see if I can make a little bit of extra cash.

Develop insider knowledge of the stock to know if it is worth buying.

One thing that is important is to not think of the stock market as a way to make some extra cash. That strategy relies entirely on buying and selling, and withdrawing cash too often to make it all really worth it. I would instead recommend thinking of the stock market as a way to grow wealth, more like a retirement account. You put money in, you move it around, but you don't take it totally out except for specific reasons.
That being said, there's still opportunity for significant growth in health industries, alternative energy and future tech.

Decide:
A, Investing: makes money on the long run.
Requires proper research into the instrument you're buying.B, Trading: you can make extra cash relatively fast.
Requires knowledge in trading techniques and market sentiment.Select one of the above for the next level.
