QBN log 2.27.21
Things have been deteriorating here on the ship. Sulu broke up with Uhura again. Their constant back and forth has been wearing on the crew. Sulu has been acting like a madman as a result of their toxic shenanigans. Bones had to inject him with some fentanyl just to get him back to his post. The rest of us have been wearing thin from the constant stream of sub-standard chick pics in the chick of the day thread. These are truly horrific low grade porn shots of the worst taste. One girl looked underage with a giant clitoris. Who posts that? Is it art? Maybe. This vile OmahaDesigns is a thorn to us all but we must let his demonic flatulence-like pestulant presence pass... for the good of the ship! When will this Borg pass? Do we take a Borg vaccine and that's that? Hardly. The Borg...is everywhere.

Oh wow, it's been 9 or so days since my last log. I'll be sure to clog the toilet this time. So, uhh... nothing much to report. The theater has been packed and everyone has seemed to forget about the Borg. They want to explore the galaxy without our shields. Cocky bastards. I saw Wandavision. It was fine. My thoughts could be found here https://www.qbn.com/reply/401015… Sulu has been hanging out with the guys, I think he will be okay. I want to tap that Uhura ass but it's a delicate situation with Sulu. How much time should I wait before I make a move? Maybe I won't make a move. Maybe, I will be a man of supreme honor. I won't break the man code, I'll ... who am I kidding, I'm a hornball. Could I get cancelled for these thoughts? Computer, end log. Computer...

I asked Uhura out. She said I was sweet but she isn't ready to get back into dating. Whatever. I hope Sulu doesn't find out about this.
In other news, Scotty was able to create a virtual reality clone of Abraham Lincoln. The Lincoln clone has been smoking weed and drinking whiskey nonstop all week. He says he misses his Nana. I may have to decommission it, but if it has become sentient Starfleet would not allow it.

I have been posting too much on QBN lately, I'm having too much fun and going into ADHD-triggered posting rituals with my morning coffee. I have to knock it off, the locals have been complaining. https://www.qbn.com/reply/401089… I may have even triggered a meltdown by the username Peter Pancake due to my consecutive posts on pic of the day. https://www.qbn.com/reply/401089… Luckily, the QBN mods quickly cleaned up the mess. I will have to suck it up, face Uhura and maybe take the Enterprise on a joyride through the galaxy to clear everyones minds from the ongoing Borg pandemic. The crew's monitors have been being bombarded with substandard images which could only be curated by the Borg. Nevertheless, we continue forward. We...will... not be deterred. Computer, end log.

My impression is...is the American society becoming more violent because of censure and repression or is the American society becoming more censured and repressed due to violence?

My Woody Allen retrospective is ongoing. Tonight I saw Manhattan Murder Mystery. Quite an interesting cinematic exercise and truly another absolutely classic New York picture. Funny to see an aging Woody and Diane Keaton reunite and spark their old magic after a hiatus. Surely Mia Farrow wasn't happy to see him replace her in the starring role and reunite with an old friend but after the traumas of that relationship I'm sure it was exactly what Woody needed artistically and spiritually. Woody's soul completely sold to the silver screen at this point for better or worse. Top notch.

My tabloid-triggered retrospective of Woody Allen films ongoing, I viewed 'Whatever Works' last night. Seeing Larry David try to act is slightly cringey but he delivers a few laughs. This is Woody Allen's dialogue at it's most cynical and grumpy and I can't say I can't relate with it at times. After watching Woody's films again after a long hiatus I think I can understand with my feminist acquiantances when they say that his stuff has an aire of mysogyny to it. He tends to write from the perspective of the male and you can't really fault him for that, he is a male. And perhaps a sicko perv, allegedly with Whatever Works containing plenty of shots of a beautiful young Evan Wood in her underwear. A joy to shoot, surely... but Allen's writing does delve deeper than the usual shallow Hollywood flair. Sicko mysogynist or not...his work is a notch above the norm. Whatever Works is sweet movie that oozes honey from a pit of universal despair and it comes together succesfully.

It's here! The Borg has consumed me. I don't wish to go outside. I am completely consumed with the virtual. I don't feel myself unless I have taken the daily digital dosages. Meanwhile, the spring breakers are outside being horny little sexy buggers and I am an old tired senpai, unimpressed with their intellectual drivel. I'd rather chill with the Borg until I feel like a melted wax statue. Eventually I will have to unplug from the Borg and relearn how to use my senses but the Borg really isn't that bad. It sucked me into the Snyderverse where I was able to sit 4 hours to watch the Snyder cut. I was entertained. Flash wasn't as annoying, Cyborg and Steppenwolf had cool backstories, Batman was cool... the internet trolls were right along. The Snyder cut should have been released! The Borg is my friend.

I saw Almadobar's 'The Skin I Live In' last night. I saw the Hitchcockian influences, without a doubt. Then, this thread happened https://www.qbn.com/reply/401287… and it got me thinking about how there can be binary paths of thinking when it comes to the ethics of human freedom. The totalitarian wants to limit the human consciousness in an attempt to keep it in line with the 'natural way' the totalitarian has been trained to live in. This religious-friendly, divinity-based, self-righteous path may frown at body-transformation, suicide, and other perceived perversions. Then, of course, we have the non-repressive ethos. These ethos would allow someone to push the boundries of their realities to pursue that which their mind wants, with consequence to the vessel of the body, maybe. If the consciousness desires a change of gender to be at peace, these ethos would allow the freedom. If the consciousness desires a merging with technology, or a strange piercing or even euthanasia, it is these ethos that would allow the experimentation, and/or relaxation of the limitations we put on our fellow beings to fulfill their desires without judgement. The totalitarian's goal, in essence, is a parental-figure that wants to control the person to help that person be the ideal being that the totalitarian has visualized. The non-repressive ethos, which some label as 'liberal', would find satisfaction in the allowance of the being to find it's happiness on it's own. With it's own self-exploration, as macabre as it may be.
