- Amazing stuff! Unfortunately I have no idea on how to use this with my types of images. but the effects are super cool.SimonFFM
- Simon, of course you could, imagine a book of models in this cyberpunk Bladerunner style, it would be beautiful._niko
- Your types of images would be perfect! Especially for a night/darkly shot series as _niko suggests. Not every photo, but for accent photos throughout a book.shapesalad

Generative Fill might be the first useful new feature Adobe introduced in the past decade or so.
Putting aside all the extending things demos people keep posting, it's very useful on a small scale for cleaning up artwork, stitching together photos etc.
- I've been using it with pretty good success to make free stock images look better. no more weird dudes in bad suits and eastern European hair, now they all..._niko
- have stylish Italian hair... they look like George Clooney or Ryan Reynolds. I literally put trimmed beards on everyone.
what a time to be alive!_niko - lolyuekit
- I used it to remove some illustrated smoke around a bottle on some artwork I'd bee supplied, then was able to cut out the smoke and animate it but the bottle...PhanLo
- ...graphic looked clean and it made ggod guesses at the shading and illustration style, so the retouching was minimalPhanLo
- Every last Youtube video headline about Photoshop says..."Game Changer"utopian

- Yup, about the same here. Long road and I honestly can't remember many massive improrements. Same goes for all software/computers, too, including 3Dformed
- Started with 5 as well. Was tinkering in Paint Shop Pro for a bit before.duckseason
- started with 3.0.5, 4 was a clusterfuck, 5.0.2 was return to form, 6.0 another clusterfuck, 7.0 meh, 8.0 (CS) a return to formjonny_quest_lives
- Paint Shop Pro..damn! Same goes to CorelDraw...it took a while to jump to Illustrator, briefly Freehand, and thawas the best decision ever.oey_oey

Generative Fill is now integrated into the new version of Photoshop 2024. But it's still low-res. That's a bummer. Tiling images up into 1024x1024 pieces to get results is annoying.
- loluan
- and as soon as it detects a naked body, it will fail anyways...SimonFFM
- ^You have to draw a black dress on the body on a separate layer as a workaround :-)PhanLo
- 1024 is the max the models are trained on at the moment, I sometimes extende it widers then go back and make use smaller selections to get more detailPhanLo
- It is useful as a tool for tiny things, e.g. extending a visual for a website. But not for anything bigger yet.SimonFFM
- I had just expected it to deliver better results when going from beta to live version.SimonFFM
- Adobe will be charging additional for Photoshop AI in the months to come.utopian
- Do you get your money back if the results suck?SimonFFM
- Yes, the will. I showed Adobe some of my work in After Effects and they were like “wow, this is terrible, have a refund”nb
- kAI's power tools?cannonball1978
- AI just failed to detect my nude model and created wonderful pubic hair with Generative Fill. Makes me lol. No warning. Just did the job. Surprised me a lot.SimonFFM

"Lots of people are using Photoshop's new AI generation to expand classic paintings like the Mona Lisa, but the true test is to crop it smaller, then expand it to areas where we already know what it looks like to see how accurately it re-generates it. Here's my test. Nailed it!"

Does anybody experience this issue on macs of the mouse pointer not reacting to hyperlinks (turning to hand) when using Safari or Chrome if Photoshop is open. I see the issue all over google for the last ten years but can't find anyone presenting a solution. I thought it was just the way the internet worked now for years and only just realised it was happening while PS was open!
- I used to experience this all-the-time with the pre-CC versions. At the time it semmed it had something to do with Flash/HTML being used for palettes.evilpeacock
- The only solution was to restart certain processes related to Adobe or WebKit— or reboot. I don't recall specifically.evilpeacock
- No problems on M1grafician
- This will be life-changing if it is indeed photoshop. I have noticed it and it drives me crazy, to the point where I include “cursor:pointer” all over my css.hotroddy
- ^ Close Photoshop, It IS that fucker.Hayzilla
- I'm on an M1 BTW and has been happening on every Mac I've had since 2016.Hayzilla
- yes, all adobe software is a nightmare behind windows on mac, worse with multiple monitors. it is the special retard child of softwarekingsteven

I remember when Photoshop didn’t have layers.
- CyBrainX3
- This had no layers. You had paste controls for layer operations. You had to be a master of channels to do any kind of compositing.CyBrainX
- hell yeah i remember no layers, such time.doesnotexist

Been using Photoshop since it had to be installed off seven 3.5" diskettes.
