Hello everyone,
I got a client where I need to upscale a black and white image to a much larger size than the original version. So I was wondering if any of you have some good advice.
Do you use any special programs for it, photoshop plugnins, do you manually clean up the image afterwards or ship it off to indea and hope for the best?
Would love to hear your experiences and advice.

I use Dfine from the Google Nik collection to reduce noise as much as possible and then I use PhotoZoom Pro for upscaling. Do not use JPG in your workflow, as you would enlarge artifacts.

I use ON1 Resize when I need to upscale things - it uses magic and cosmic rays to preserve important detail like straight edges.

I have enlarged an images from 3500px @ 72dpi up to 4m @ 300dpi with no problem. Of course there is *some* degradation but nowhere near as much if you did it manually in Ps, thanks as I said to the way it processes the image to retain shapes and structure.
