really cheap?
use Saran / cling / plastic wrap and just wrap the front with it (and back too). It's a bit tedious and takes a while to get everything on without bubbles (and the wrap clings to everything around you too, which is annoying). But once you get it done, there's a thin wrap over the image, which protects it from basic things.
I'm thinking of going to some Business Depot or something and getting them laminated. Maybe just do it to your favourites, to save money.
