    because it costs a ton of money to build a city in the desert.

    you have to organize vendors for portapotties (and related maintenance), electricity, water trucks (thousands of gallons are sprayed on the streets daily to keep down dust), ice, security, actually building the man and center camps, pyrotechnics, lighting, etc

    not to mention the land itself costs money...

    and STILL they require massive amounts of volunteer work to get it all done.

    200 bucks doesn't seem that bad when you consider all that, plus the fact that it's SEVEN DAYS of one of the greatest parties on earth
