I have an iphone, ipad, android HTC g2, a motorola xoom, and several really cheap android tablets running 1.7 to test on.
I find that the android market has way better free apps.
I love that my Android phone syncs to both my personal domain and work domain with google apps.
I am more of a believer in the mobile web than I am of apps. You can have your apps, I'll stick with the browser.
I primarily use my tablets and phone for what they were intended. The iPad is top notch. My Android phone is every bit as good as my iPhone, in fact I prefer it for it's intended use; however, when I am tasked with doing some type of work: FTP, simple HTML changes, simple CSS changes, etc. I find that android is far more flexible and useful than iOS.
iOS is for consuming content and Android is that half step between PC and iOS.
Again...don't overlook HP...pick up a plam pixi...not a bad browsing experience.
