    Welcome to the world of graphic design!
    If they can't keep to their schedule you are better off not being with a company like that. If they were willing to cut you off at the last hour like that they are probably not a well run company. This is a horrible thing to do to someone. You probably had to give your entire day up and you obviously like the company enough to give up your day.

    Sucks. This has happened to me before.
