    I'll be surprised if they actually make this. I'll be surprised if they make a TV, too, even with all the rumors. Just too many TVs with too little profit to make it worthwhile.

    For watches, who cares about technology? A watch, outside of teenagers (and some hipsters, I suppose) is a piece of functional jewelry. A style and status symbol, not some stupid screen or phone.

    I'd never buy a watch that was mass produced and didn't have some decent pedigree. Never. The watches I want are technologically inferior to a Casio, but they are works of art the hold their value and have great aesthetic value. They are NOT disposable.

    Apple invented products and markets, they didn't really come in and drastically change an ancient art form.

    My money is on them never doing this, the hype is just there to fill a curiosity/gossip gap as people reach for a story of "what is next".

    But, if they do make one, I'll think about shorting their stock (someone out there made a pretty penny as it plummeted).
