    while it's too early to draw up comparisons to great other series that completed their runs already (breaking bad, the wire, sopranos, etc)... i would say that - providing the next two episodes maintain the trajectory of the series as far as quality is concerned - you'd be hard pressed to find any 8 episode sequence in any television series ever that could match it. my only possible match would be the final half season of breaking bad.
