Boy, it's fortunate that people in all the earth's history weren't such whiny bitches and didn't moan and lament so much or we'd all be gone already. Luckily your grandparents weren't such pansies and managed to have your parents, and they you when all those depression/dustbowl problems, a couple of world wars, flu pandemics and various other horrible diseases.
You might want to remember the idealic 50s and groovy 60s actually had children do drills in the event of a nuclear attack thanks to the cold war. "Boy Jimmy, that drill was swell. Think the red's will really destroy the world? Luckily my dad built a fallout shelter in our basement."
Seriously, do you think you are the first generation with real problems?
