    this is armchair journalism at best, but I have to ask it
    -
    are there any statician here,

    what are the odds that two identical planes from the same company go off radar, one disappear forever (?) and the other gets supposedly shot down after going off radar 1000km away,

    I'm about to go to bed, but had to check the route that plane would have normally taken,

    so I went to MAS website to find the most recent/updated travel route, go check for yourself,
    I travel a lot, at least I used to, but it just irks me how a civilian plane would knowingly fly above a war zone

    • not sure how "official this is though, the Paris-kuala lampur rout flies over iraq and syria according to this_niko
    • i think he's suggesting that it shouldn't have gone over Ukraine if it was on its normal route.sem
