The difference between knowing and believing?

    • This is still a belief. It is an unproven theory and therefore belief.Morning_star
    • but a belief based on scientific knowledge is more valid than mythological hunchesmonospaced
    • Why? Validity has nothing to do with it. The inherent truth lessons contained in a myth (Greek myths, Sumerian myths, Navaho myths, bible myths) are arguably far more useful to humans than complex scientific speculation with no practical value. Until it's understood, proven and applied as a real world solution it is less valuable to the world than the myths of Gilgamesh.Morning_star
