Images and radio and sensor readings are all pretty the same thing — analyses of the electromagnetic spectrum. Some fire lasers, some ping radio long-waves, some fire microwaves or x-rays. It's all the same shit.
If you trust a photo from a scientific source, you should as equally trust a radio reading from same.
If you trust neither, you'll have to get busy building an interplanetary launch system and go check yourself.
