external HD with SSD Thunderbolt

    I'm currently trying to find an option to use an SSD as an external boot drive for iMac's and Mac Pro's when out.

    BUT, I need to find a non thunderbolt setup sadly...firewire? can you get external FW SATA Enclosures? (heads to ebay) and FW is fastrer than USB 2 right?

    • usb < fw400 < usb2 < fw800 < usb3 < thunderbolt ... something like thisuan
    • firewire is a bottle neck for an ssd. Just get a regular HD. Think FW does like 90 MB
