    Speeds up to...

    Ports
    TB = 1250MBps
    USB3.1 = 1250MBps
    ESATA = 375MBps
    USB3 = 625MBps
    FW800 = 100MBps

    Drive types
    Newer SATAIII SSDs ~500MBps
    SATAII SSD ~250MBps
    Standard 7200 Drives around ~90-120MBps
    PCIe drives ~600-2000MBps

    Raided - ... too complicated and expensive for my needs..

    • Where you get them figures from? cos everywhere I've looked says otherwise esp with FW800sem
    • wikipedia and wolfram alpha to convert gbps and mbps to MBps... and drive types from neweggdeathboy
    • of course those are the possibility. if you put a SSD on a usb2.0 port you will see 460mpbs or 57.5MBpsdeathboy
    • really all about knowing how fast it can transfer and making sure their isnt a bottleneckdeathboy
    • lots of people will get a new sataIII SSD and put it on a sataII connector and know no better theyre not seeing the full potential of the SSDdeathboy
    • potential of the SSD. and if they benchmarked they will see less numbers than advertiseddeathboy
