    so to summarize:

    It's Syria (Assad) (supported by Russia) and Hezbollah vs the free syrian army(supported by the US) and ISIS

    ISIS vs Iraq(supported by the US)
    ISIS vs the Kurds (supported by the US)
    The Kurds vs Turkey (supported by the US and NATO)
    Hezbollah vs Israel (supported by the US)
    Iran vs Israel (supported by the US)
    ISIS vs Iran (possibly being supported by the US)

    and ISIS is being funded by rich Sunnis from Saudi Arabia who are also besties with the US.

    Russia is supporting Hezbollah, Syria and Iran to help fight ISIS and Israel.
    The US is supporting Israel, Iraq and possibly Iran to help stabilize the Shiite government of Iraq against the sunni ISIS insurgency.

    my head hurts.
