No... it's more that there's always a rotating cast of "evil music genre" that lazy media/conservatives/etc has to villanize... now it's EDM, soon it may be something else...
It all reminds me of a quote from somebody that says "each generation's music is designed to maximally piss off their parents"
AND....actually I don't like EDM at all, I photographed an EDM show years ago at the Congress in Chicago, the music sounded pretty much the same to me after a few minutes, I had no idea why the crowd was so animated and into a guy just standing there and wiggling his head and arms while wearing huge headphones and hitting "play" on prerecorded stuff....that all sounded the same after a while....
