Do you possess significant financial industry experience, I've seen a lot of financial institutions struggling to find designers.
I had a place ask me to come in for a day, paid, and then after that day they asked me to work on a project, paid. After the day in the office I decided that it wasn't a great cultural fit and passed on the role. Remember, these are two way streets and perhaps this is a great opportunity to realize what their culture is like.
