My vote: Steve McQueen - The king of cool!
The man came from nothing (Survived the great depression where his step father would regularly beat him within an inch of his life and then abandoned him to a boys home), overcame dyslexia and being partially deaf, became a US Marine, accomplished professional motorcycle and car racer, hated the fake Hollywood bullshit and cranked out some killer movies. Mcqueen would regularly visit his boys home and donated to tons of charities helping orphaned children. He was a true underdog, a man's man and amazing actor.
