    Well, that was just like the rest of season 8: rushed, undercooked and left a general feeling of a missed opportunity.

    I saw this on the BBC site, taking a bit of criticism from Forbes:

    'Erik Kain of Forbes writing: "I think the finale's flaws were mainly born out of rush.

    "All of this could have been earned; very little of it was." He said Daenerys Targaryen's storyline this season was "far too hurried to work properly, but given the right amount of time and TLC, it could have been one of TV's most incredible character arcs".'

    And I think that's it in a nutshell. The whole season (maybe final two seasons) is not just about how bad it's been but more importantly, how good it could have been. There's nothing wrong with how

    I've seen people saying that there has been too much whinging about this run of 6 episodes but I think the griping has been entirely reasonable. For me it's not just about how poor the writing has been; but also how good this show was for the first five or six seasons. If the quality of writing had remained as high as it once was then the storylines could have been executed without any major changes and felt entirely satisfying.
