Being a graphic designer with a strong editorial design background, caught in the middle of a huge learning curve towards UX design, I often find myself gathering stuff to keep on learning and studying.
It’s wonderful to see how much of web design grids and layouts have in common with “traditional” editorial grid systems. I really enjoy touching base with my old school fundamentals re: editorial design background constantly.
Here’s an article about website grids I found that applies almost 100% to everything I ever needed back when it was all about (print) mags, books and newspapers:
