Leave the party for a few minutes, allright, me is worried.
A client just stated his demands for their new site, where one of them was that it should be "wap compatible". I know there's XML and stuff, but then what? How do I ...um..make it work with cellphones? I've never done something like this before.

to be honest, you will need to understand some Wireless Mark-Up Language (WML). I worked in this field in NYC for two years, lol! You can use editors such as the one my company old company developed called WapPage 2.0 at http://www.zyglobe.com I think you can still download it from their, basically it converts HTML to WML and you can then upload to some XML-based server. If you do download it, then you will be seeing the RoboHelp files I made, hee hee! ;)

Otherwise, I'm sure you can download a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) editor from http://www.downloads.com or http://www.zdnet.com
WML is relatively simple, instead of tables they use cards etc.

anything for mac? if WAP is a thing of the past what are people using to create pages for wireless web pda junk?
- JazX0
they are using WML, WAP isn't dead, people always say that shit, just because 90% of the market isn't using it doesn't mean it's dead

A few years ago, I worked for a company, mymobilecity, developing WAP sites.
Generally, I coded things to draw from databases, and depending on the user agent, it would create a different interface for the info, etc.
Maybe you already know this, but thought I would share the basic concept.

there is even a JavaScript for WAP in some form of WML. It's pretty fun, easy language.
