I've been asked to teach dreamweaver at a nightschool
and i'm really nervous about it.Never taught before and i'm worried that i'll cock it up and look a fool.
Any tips or tricks i should know before i mess this one up?

teaching someone DreamWeaver isn't that difficult.
the question is, does that someone know html ?

find out how much (if anything) people know about HTML before they start, dont take for granted that people know anything of what you are talking about.
oh and dont molest your students.

Just picture yourself being one of the students (who obviously aren't too good with DW). How would you want the class to be set up? "What's the most efficient way to learn" and stuff like that.
Have a quick introduction for them to get started - what you want them to achieve, go over the basics in the app do a classic learn-by-doing process. Show them examples, give them simple tasks to do in the beginning (ie "change the title to blue") etc.
You won't cock it up. You're there to teach DW, and you know DW. Bear in mind that I'm not a teacher, nor have I teached so I may be all wrong - but hey, what can you do?
Good luck.

I'm just hitting the books to cover old subjects _ and to make sure i don't miss anything important out.
Also looking on the web to see if i can find any good tutorials - that i can adapt and use.
I suppose i won't know how good/bad i am it until i step into that classroom
thanks for your replies.
