I'm curious if there is a way to launch a PDF file from a flash presentation.
I know fscommand for exe files. I've been having a hard time makeing it work for PDF. Thank god for NT.

there's no way of checking if ascrobbat reader is installed that's the crux....

You might want to look at Flashpaper. You can take any PDF document and change it into a Flashpare Document (.SWF) Sounds like it could be very useful in this problem.

Here's how you do it.
Remember this needs to be in your FScommand folder:http://www.flashgeek.com/tutoria…
I know this seems alot more complicated then it should be but it really is tricky. Macromedia's security has made it tough to launch apps in their native programs but they will allow you to run an exe in the FSCommand folder. This exe will launch your PDF. IF this isn't clear I can hook ou up with a working example.
If the only extended functionality you need is to launch a pdf I wouldn't use north code. North Code will wrap your projector in a VB shell and is more then you need.
