IKEA in the UK does have delivery, but it's notoriously bad. Items delivered damaged or without the final, vital screw you need!

Fuck the sale, I want to go and do some stabbin..

I actually hop IKEA takes off if it already hasn't. Maybe it'll make all thoes other store like crate and barrle and potterybarn cut thier prices down some.
me mum's swedish...so I have to pay respect the motherland.....

I hate how packed it is in there all the time, because it just adds to the frustration of not being able to find your way around the maze-like structure. It's definitely creative though.
I love the products. I just bought a few more things for my bedroom. It's quite nice.

Whan I have to go at IKEA it takes me (wel... me and my gf) no less than 3hours in the mid of the week at strategic hours... i dunno how is it on WE.

We usually go with intentions of buying stuff you see in the catalogue, see it in real life, come home empty-handed. Some of the stuff is tat, some of it is really good value you have to make yer own mind up

didn't ikea used to build their stuff out of quality materials?
i mean, it looks good, but its some junkass stuff. my friend bought one of those 3x3 cube grid shelves for his LPs and the thing collapsed in a week
- Fariska0
Well, Ikea has crap and good stuff.
The crap is usually cheap (but not always) and the good stuff is (not so) expensive, compared to other brands
- MLP0
wow... i never thought people were that crazy over particle board.
i've still never been to one
- nicko0
that's a bad way for your lps to go :(

(Aug 3 05, 12:19)I agree, but I'm glad I never got to work there. I would hate working there as part-time employee I mean, not a designer (I would go for that). Just cause it's always so busy.

Hah, my Mom, who lives in Grand Prarie, wants to go.
I told her, "No offense Mom, but it's not your type of decor."
But she will still go there and buy something that she doesn't need, or already has ten of. I know she will buy a few cereal bowls when she already has plenty, I know she will also take advantage of the monster sized back of tea lights.
I know she will also shop for me there for Christmas, when I've already told her a gajillion times I don't need anything for my apartment.

can you get me a lamp please?

No way, Slayer is the best driving music. Especially if you sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic for an hour or so.
I'll join the chorus saying "I don't get it'... some of their stuff is nice, but it's not where I'd go if I wanted sturdy furniture that'll hold up well.
