I just watched it last nite. Amazing stuff.
The 2 intense scenes for me were
a. the killer whale in slow motion eating the sealb. the lions attacking the elephant at night time. the elephant can't see at night but the lions have sharp vision.
crazy stuff. all the underwater shallow seas scenes were beautiful.

the first series aired last year on CBC in canada.. and they've just played through the 2nd set.
the BBC have the full collection available on DVD but unfortunately its so far only available in that euro DVD format. i had wanted to buy it for xmas last year.

The program is great!
Anyone that watched last night:
Do you know the name of the hilarious fish that was shown darting in and out of a hole when the program was talking about reefs in Indonesia? It showed the fish, cut to the Wonderpus Octopus, and back to the fish.

Ya, awesome show, I've seen a few episodes on an HDTV, some really jaw-dropping footage. Was that a whale or a great white shark attacking the seal? Another scene that stuck in my mind is the cannibal monkeys attacking their neighbours, crazy stuff.
This show was originally shown on BBC with a different narrator, but Discovery channel replaced his voice with Sigourney Weaver. Anyone know why?

I Shouldn't Be Alive

the red vampire squid with glowing tentacles in episode 11/ Oceans Deep was probably the wildest creature of all.
