Any way I can see what's in a folder on a web server that has directory listing denied?
All perfectly legal. Scout's honor!

are you the admin?
- jox0
Nope, just a user.
- jevad0
no you muppet! that's the point of restricitng access to it!
- Jaline0
This seems like a worrisome question to me, haha.

Come on, there's got to be a way. Like a script that searches through it... since direct access to whatever is in there does work.
The reason I'm asking is because we're having problems with a former employee. Apparently he has dedicated his life to destroying one of our companies by spreading lies. Not to mention talking left and right about classified stuff he stole on his last day, and I believe some of that is on this particular folder I'm trying to access.

you can access it and want something to list whats in the directory?
or
you are asked for a username and password when you try to access it?
- jox0
No password protection or anything, just a regular web folder with directory listing denied, meaning I *can* access all files individually if I know the names of them - but I don't except for a few.

goto google and search the site with "site:www.somedomain.com" - this will list all of the files indexed by G.
you could try
"site:www.somedomain.com/dirName...
if the site is designed as a regular site you will be able to see the dir in the url.
it wont list all the assets in that dir tho

hmm...that is a tricky one.

Thanks max, that was a really clever idea - but sadly nothing seems to have been crawled.
Cripes.

try teleport pro

a spider/crawler/sucker wont list the content if there's nothing linking to the files. You need hax0rz.
