hello friends,
I would like to know if some of you enjoy cooking or just eat outside, this is a small survey
A) if you like cooking, then what do you eat
B) would you still eat outisde if you have the possibillity to cook your own food
C) would you use a "software" that guides you while you're cookingthank you
- Drno0
so i understand that none of you ever cook.
not even Cupnoodles??

Hi Drno.
I like cooking, like it much.
My answers:A) Ufff... not easy to be specific, meat, fish, vegetables, rices, a lot of recipes, much of them basque traditional ones, but a bit of them (more latelly) african and asian inspired, enjoying-experimenting with chilly in last years.
B) Eat outside allone with wife, or with wife and kiddies depending of the days. Different menu and restaurants for it. With my wife, we tend to go to all new wave basque or spanish type restaurants. But normally, more latelly, with the money we spend dinning outside, we do recipes at home. Not easy with 2 daugthers flying around the kitchen but...
C) No software, usually search the net for concrete recipes, but no more.
Wish being helpfull.

I really enjoy cooking and have found myself drawn towards cookery sections in bookshops recently.
I wouldnt use any software while I was cooking (get grease spatter on me powerbook?!?) but i would get a recipe from the net.
I'll try most kinds of recipes, got the Gordon Ramsay book for christmas and thats gotten a good outing. Slow roast pork belly, good veg and an excellent baked cheesecake recipe to name a few of the good ones.
Mostly though I'll stir fry or make thai curries, my gf is half thai so she likes spicy food!
We do go out but not so much, maybe 2-3 times a month, when we coouldnt be arsed cooking or I've done something wrong!

thanks guys for your answers,
i'll probably be a cook, if i didn't discover design
i love cooking and only eat at restaurant when i'm at work,
my wife never complain, even though sometimes i wish she did (an excuse for me to go get a take out :) )

I love to cook..and...
...keep your goddamn dirty filthy software away from my kitchen!!

A) love cooking, live to cook. i eat, prepare and serve basically every type of cusine i have ever heard of.
B) yes, done daily, if not twice daily.
C) no fucking chance in hell.

A) I eat chicken, rice, veggies, etc, etc. There are too many strange recipes to note as well.
B) I don't eat outside often since my parents are great cooks and I also can cook for myself usually. That, or I just warm up something from the store.
C) Hmm..I actually have never used recipes or anything from online, but I'm open to the idea. However, I'd most likely want something that I could print out.

wait, wait, wait- does:
"B) would you still eat outisde if you have the possibillity to cook your own food"
refer to eating outside-OUTSIDE, or 'eating out' as in at a restaurant other than you house?

Tonight i´m going to prepare a delicious chicken with green peppers, onions, garlic, oregano, ras al hanut and harissa, all cooked with olive oil and with a nice Navarra whiite wine... umm... can´t wait!

I love to cook too - all sorts of food, generally hinged around mediterranean stuff.
I wouldn't use software to dictate what I'm doing, but I quite frequently use google to find me recipes when i've only got random ingredients or am bored by my own utter lack of creativity.

Ey Nairn... remember the tortilla de patatas??
Slump!

Last night in the heat of NYC I wanted to cook something light and just sauteed some sliced chicken sausage in a pan with olive oil, chopped garlic and some thyme, served it over field greens with carrots and sweet red peppers with a balsmic & honey vinigrette..came out really well actually...
No software was involved.

Mad. what i meant was eating at a restaurant
I love doing good ol' picnic, too bad i don't have the time anymore
thanks for the info everyone

I'm making tortilla this very weekend, OBBTKN - though doing my fast-food version with shop-bought rostis.
Almost as good as Gibraltarian-style tortilla, made with chips. Mmmmm.

gotcha Drno. i need to restate b then;
B) yes i would and do because there is a simple elegance and finishing that everyone must enjoy of a professional chef. i basically spend every cent i have after expenses to live on food and drink. whether this be in or out of home is secondary. of the 21 'meals' weekly, i probably prepare fresh 18 of them. go out the others.
and i eat half of those outside, on the patio for the record... ;)

seems in the summer I can't cook indoors.
