Think I'm being really stupid but was out on the piss last night and can't quite think straight...
I want to draw dotted lines in photoshop (same as you can do in Illustrator). How can I do this?
Cheers all.

I use a two pixel pattern of black and transparent, then draw 1 pixel selections and fill with the gradient, works for me

make a brush in photoshop with the desired spacing.
Creat a path and use the brush on stroke button to create a brush stoke of your line.

Choose Brush, Go to options.
Select Brush Tip Shape
Change Spacing (at bottom) to 100+% (ie. 200%, 300% etc)
