could that thing move any SLOWER?
- calculator0
pretty sure a real spider doesn't take 9 people to make it walk

I would like to see more links of this.
..
On a side note at least scouser john can scrap the metal at a later date.

I would like to see it catch a fly
- SkyPoo0
I would like to see it manage a small flight of steps, or even keep up with an arthritic old aged pensioner out for a walk.
That for me is the big problem with this. They've picked a creature that is fast, articulated and dynamic, the very epitome of all terrain transport, and they've utilised the mechanical technology of a modest 80's fairground ride. They have failed to emulate the spirit of the creature in any way.
Like watching a really disappointing Hollywood blockbuster that has been hyped out of all proportion.

i would be impressed if it actually walked on its own...

^ For the money it cost it should have been this good at perambulation I reckon. Obviously not semi-autonomous and self-correcting like this, but still, better would have been better.

Hang on a minute. Re Sammy2001 photo... I was at least a little bit impressed that after seeing the film footage of it it did appear to be standing on its own legs, but am I right in thinking that its attached to, and being supported by, and pushed along by a bloody tractor?
If so then this really is a totally shit waste of money. Fucking hell.
