Apple history shows that it becomes a bloated underperformer when Jobs is not at the helm.

I know the problems of Amelio era Apple and I know that no business man worth his salt would say the company then was a better company than the company now... sure, I get that... but Gil Amelio was consciencious, careful, dedicated to serving only the creative community for whom the computers were made.
It was humble and ethical (to a degree) and loyal to its customers. As such it was niche and over-priced and destined to fail eventually I suppose, but dammit, it was a special thing then, and now its just Reebok for your soul.

the day they announced his run in with cancer apple stock fell markedly. His health was asked about at the last apple AGM by a director over phone conference, pretty shit when your a PLC when the CEO's own health reflects on the companies financial standing, he is just a mascot now...he can be replaced
- just like the fucking president of the United States... a mascot puppetPoint5

"I dont know, SkyPoo. Apple's moves with Final Cut Studio have been excellent."
Gil Amelio's Apple served its customers well, Jobs' Apple has ushered in the codification, packaging and resale of creativity to the point that everyone is a photographer, a film maker, a band, a graphic designer, a retoucher, a web designer, an animator, an 'artist'... and the value of all creativity has been decimated to the point where the industry, and applied creativity, will eventually collapse. That's not purely Jobs' doing, no, but he was emblematic of the new democracy of creative endeavour, and he was a key architect of it... and he profits from undermining the very industry that made his Apple the behemoth it is today.
"let's go back to OS7, quark and 3 inch screens then"
No, lets have progress and advancement, but lets allow creativity to be the exclusive domain of the creative, and lets allow their tools to be focussed on creative tasks, not feature creeped into buggery so they are bloated and divided and reek of built in obsolescence by this domino effect of New Browser... needs new OS system... needs new hardware... needs new apps... needs new peripherals... neeeds new software... needs new OS...needs new hardware... needs new browser... needs new itunes... needs new etc etc.
- Sorry I killed your skinny Jobs thread with my tirade.

you work at Adobe ? You sound like you want Apple to become SGI. Desktop computers are the past anyways, its all about portable, touchscreen tablets with workstation power. I was in 2065 last night and the computers were just these foldable glass tablets with embedded nanochips running adobe CS60. I was looking for a browser until I realized that the internet was everywhere around me... I said "google" and my brain called up Google in my brain and reminded me to comply.
Weird future.
- You had to actually 'say' Google before it would work?
That's crap.SkyPoo
