I'm just doing some basic layer animation. It keeps adding a curve into my animation paths. I have never had this problem before using CS3. I'm just moving a piece of text with three keyframes and it keeps making it a curved animation. Anyone? is this a preference somewhere? So annoying. I have to keep going back to the points to straighten out the path.

key frame interpolation set it to linear.

The keyframe is already linear. I mean when something goes from point a to point b it tweens it (yes a flash term). I know the Convert Vertex Tool can fix it ... but I'm wondering why it automatically makes that curve in it's path.

thanks guys btw.

the same thing happened to me when I was trying to make a mask shape with just straight lines and in the middle it changed to curves all of sudden. once i figured out the the vertex tool changes them it went back to creating them straight.

No. I'm not talking about vector curves!!!!! I know how to use a pen tool.
I'm talking about it's acting like the kf interpolation has a bezier curve or something funky. But, it's actually already set linear. It's just setting the motion on a curve automatically.
- I think he is talking about curves but on interpolation, not the ones you use to drawMeeklo

i thought you meant you were trying to get something to follow a path that kept curving...i'm no expert just talking out my ass :] hope its solved

do your keyframe have a diamond shape?
