Yeah, I am also unsure of the "print & web design since '02". Basically thought it needed something in there and that was all I could think off at 11pm last night.
Suggestions for better wording welcomed :D

what's the font?

I like the logo and just like mydo said, try to get the same shapes in the type. The third ons i'm not mad about, neither about the subheading. The overall would be stronger if you lose that.

I like the first one, but maybe drop the dot over the J so it mirros the mark.

get rid of the tagline
work on the shape of the c in the shield
get rid of the line under j in the wordmark
does the j in the wordmark have to echo the shape in the shield? maybe the c in the wordmark should do that too then? is the shield too far from the wordmark (everything refers to top sketch)- Sorry Jim, what is top sketch?fodcj
- the sketch at the top?jimbojones
- ah, I see :)fodcj

- the c in the face should be between your first effort and his one. definitely don't lose the j dotjimbojones

maybe i liked the first set more - hahaha. sorry mate!

The face isn't nearly as good with the round C.
and the J without the dot is odd. but maybe you could make that taller.

btw, I liked more contrast in the face (first version) it corresponded well with the regular/bold type. in the second version it's gone.
and read the notes ffs

fodjc,
I am responding to the 2nd one from the first set!
I think the logotype is very strong however, I also think you could lose the tagline.
I think the face/shield is clever but the scale needs to be resolved - meaning i think it becomes an afterthough compared to the logotype. I would play with the scale / placement of the shield elements.

- top one. still not sure about the j shape in the wordmark. add a serif to e? you have 2 es pairs.jimbojones

Good. Maybe the small c in the shape is a little too heavy though.

Jakes, or Jake S, or Jake's?

It needs a rainbow overlay.

Getting better, but to be honest I think you'd be much better served by simpler letterforms with both your logotype and the icon. Avenir comes to mind. The simplicity of your mark/icon wants a simpler, more geometric font.
I know the j has been modified with the right angle on its descender, but it looks bad. I think with a simpler j (Avenir, Futura, Gotham), you might not need to make that sharp edge and it can still resemble a nose in your icon.
The stroke in the icon needs to be fattened or thinned out to match one of the two font weights more closely. For optical evenness, I'd lighten the weight of your j and c in the icon. Right now they look heavier than the container. I think they should be balanced with each other.
- Thanks for the good feedback Gramme, I will try your suggestions.
