I spilled a bit of iced tea on my macbook pro the other day.
After letting it dry for a while it turned back on, but some of the keys were sticky and the trackpad was kind of stuck.
I took it to the service center (i didnt mention it was a spill) and they said that they would replace the top case including the keyboard. Will this be enough ? Should I take it somewhere else so that they can clean any potential sugary residue from the logic board? I dont want to have issued due to corrosion later on :(

I think that service will do best they can.
As for corrosion later, think sugar is greater problem.

So you think I should get it cleaned as well then ?

I think you know you need to

Thing is I am hoping that when they change the top case they will also clean any residue (sugar etc) they see, but I also dont want to mention the spill in case they void my warranty...

I spilled Coke on a MacBook Pro keyboard.. I told them at the Apple Store.. the repair cost wasn't so bad I thought (I have 3yr Applecare, not sure if they discounted). The important thing is they confirmed that after the repair I am back to fully warrantied status as if spill never happened (so if logic board later fries because of the spill, I'm not liable).

..just say whilst you've got the laptop how much for a clean, may as well get it done now if it's velly good price etc....

Spray some WD40 on the keys and track pad. That should do the trick.
