Since I have this infernal non-numeric pad Mac keyboard, I can't avail myself of keyboard shortcuts for InDesign paragraph styles. Is there a workaround for this? I can't find it via Google.

cmnd+return=quick apply.
a few extra clicks yes, but if you have your style sheets memorized...- This is exactly what I am not looking for (I know about quick apply), but thanks...dog_opus

Any daytime QBN typographers know of a solution for this?

This is on the thing Quark was good for; not being forced to let your mouse to apply styles.
A solution for this would also make me happy.

What I don't understand is what this has to do a Mac keyboard, or a non-numeric keypad at all. Because you don't have a numeric keypad you can't use the shortcuts? You still have numbers!
- Yes, because I don't have a numeric keyboard, I cannot use paragraph style keyboard shortcuts.dog_opus
- number keys are different than keypad numbers. which is why they are the default when applying styles in IDjaylarson
- oh, I had no idea...monospaced
- BTW, mono, excellent work — first time I checked out your site.dog_opus

I've wondered this myself.
As a previous poster said, you could do quick apply, but I never did get used to that and/or like it... and any combination of the function key, option key or whatever didn't work. Not much help, but I'm commiserating a bit – and it's nice to know you're not crazy sometimes.
