Ok, we've finally decided on a new name for our graphic/web design studio. The old one has served us well for several years but it's time for a change that better reflects our ambition and abilities.
So we're going to be called 'Shape' and here are the logos we've shortlisted:
We have a favourite in the office but would be interested to get a second opinion.

No. 4 presents nicely.
Bold and balanced.

looks so dated – I'm sorry to tell you guys this is pretty bad

I like No 4, as well, although No 2 also works, but in a different way.

please take the 1 out. is really bad, and the kerning on the wanna be A is dreadful.
As johnwayne said they are all a bit 2005-2006.
The 3rd looks like the failed version of the 4th (which I believe is the best so far).
The N2 has some big issues on the S.My two cents...
- what's up the the S?kushman
- It looks nice on the top of the S. but the bottom looks like its been cut by a bad straight line crop.crayz
- the space between the dots does not co-relate with the ones in the 'e' same font should have same math...maikel
- +1ali
- Whats the typeface called in 02 i know i have it somewhere.crayz
- Fair point on the maths. Font is based on Braggadociokushman
- just curious, (maikel) what are the big issues on the "s" #2?

I think it massively depends on what are the other elements to the brand. there all ugly logo types. :(

03 for me.

01 and 03 are just fugly. 02 and 04 are already out of date for the fashion forward but might have a couple of years in them for those that are a little out of date.

fashion forward? good design is timeless. do you dress your wife in topshop?
- if you think good design is timeless you are a hopeless romantic. design is a product of its time.Amicus
- good design just lasts a little longer cause it is more appealing full stop. even ugly isn't always timeless.Amicus
- Take acid-washed jeans for example. They were ugly the first time yet, somehow, they've made a re-appearance in some pleaces.Continuity
- ... places.Continuity
- yeah, mainly in the younger set who didn't see the ugliness the first time.Amicus

you've gotta have big balls to put your studio's logo in qbn : )
- ali0
02 is balanced and friendly than 03 and 04. 01 needs a lot of work.
- 'friendlier' than... o4 is okali
- 2 has a much more organic feel, in fact.Continuity

#2 looks best of the bunch to me.

No. 3 could be also "SHNPC" = not good
i‘d go for 2 or 4 (although you should spent some extra thought on the S in No. 4)... I have the general feeling you could get more out of that name...

I would choose something a little less stylized. After all your agency wouldn't want to be associated with one type of aesthetic style. You can still communicate a concept though.

also, are you mad? putting it up on qbn. jeez
- Isn't that what QBN is for? Or perhaps I'm a bit too 'News Today'Chimp
- we are here to share imgs of bacon, and lolcats, mostly. but every now and then, somebody gets serious...maikel
- oh fuck maikel, who the fuck are you talking like you know what this place is? it's not all about bacon n shitmonospaced

I wonder if JohnWayne could qualify 'dated' and 'bad'?
4 here, though I'd give it some more love - the P is a bit D, the N is a bit H and the S & E are a bit meh.
No, I can't qualify 'meh'.
Will it be black on white, or is there any colour thought in here too?
