didnt Praystation, create his own algorithm to create his vector work that he showcased at QBN Sessions a few years ago?
there should be a few threads relating to his work on here as well as a video i saw he posted describing his work and creating that specific algorithm... really cool stuff!!
- That was mostly Flash, no?detritus
- what's wrong with programming in flash?honestIy
- it waqs flash, but he did create some kind of algoristh to create the initial artwork itself - ILLYepilI
- Who says there's anything wrong with programming in Flash? Or are you just looking for a scrap?detritus

Firstly, penelope is a very cool name.

You should really consider Illustrator, photoshop, and flash though.
Create a brush which is a letter form, then modify the brush dynamics.
flash has more scope with its action script functionality. You could set it to draw a letter (chosen from a library of letters) at random, random size, transparency etc. That wouldn't be too complicated.

You could look here: http://penplot.com/
and also here http://hebert.kitp.ucsb.edu/
Think i remember seeing these guys offer some of their programming a while ago. In any case, still well worth a look!
