I remember back in the early 2000's when everyone wanted to attend a TED event. TED has become pretentious, boring and no longer relevant. They now have TEDx conference that are really lame.

This one of the best TED talks, in my opinion. It's a little older, from before they were sharing them all online. It's angry, funny, and to the point. The speaker provides solutions and never comes across like he's trying to save the world.
I agree that the talks are not as good as they once were.

- Yeah, I think he's talking to a mostly American audience, and he's American. But, the talk really does apply to most cities.nb

touch displays, hypertext, teleconferencing, 3D formed displays (still not around 31 years later), computers in education.
