ok everyone is kind of lost on pointing a direction, so lets give politicians one!
here are mine:
1- Make the higher wages go to people that have low paying jobs, like the cleaning people.
That way we might have a cleaning crises, but money driven assholes won't be destroying jobs....2-Make the teachers, doctors and everyone else that goes into jobs that are considered the basics of civilised society take vocational tests, and give them proper social status. That way we know that people performing those jobs are the best ones.
3- Don't allow banks to make money out of investment. make them borrow money, but instead of paying interest, make them take a part of the profit, so that they get evolved in the economy, as real developers and not as vultures.
4- Allow people to find what they are good at!
5- make voting compulsory. If you are a part of the community you have the obligation to have your say!
thats it.... just a few....

There's a greek bloke, Plato... he wrote something called 'republic'
A few points in common with what you say.
Anyway, without being horrible, I think it is a very superficial analysis of what's going on and while I get the humour, I doubt you would be able to make much with what you propose.- Plato talks about Atlantis... quite amazingclearThoughts

IMO the "Occupy" are NEVER going to change anything in the world and are going to continually get driven back/away by the authorities.
A lot of them will be hipocrites who slate capitalism yet are MORE than happy to consume products by companies who embrace capitalism and couldnt survive without it! - iphones/mobiles/laptops/coca cola/madconalds.
If a movement REALLY believes in something then they should be willing to go the whole hog and die for the cause to make the statement to make governments listen.

stop making business with china and the arab states. buy only things you can afford, stop being independent from your bank.

the roman empire got so out of hand that people simply fled the cities and went back to live in the countryside... as simple as that

The Marxist view of history is that history is governed by universal laws and that according to these laws, a society moves through a series of stages with the transition between stages being driven by class struggle. These stages are
slave society
feudal society
capitalist society
socialist society
world communist society- Marx was right, every democracy degrades into socialism. We're entering 5th phase now: global disasterraf

I don't think capitalism is the problem, it's the cleptocracy that's risen from the culture of corruption within our governments. The bankers and the corporations have gained control of our countries, capitalism can't work when a select few don't have to play by the rules, and basically rig the whole thing.
- yeah, but Capitalism needs that to thrive...clearThoughts

We need world communist society... whether we like it or not.
We need somebody to truly protect the planet and his individuals... forget the UN.

It is always the same story 'the bankers, the bankers, the bankers'
They did NOT fucked the economy. It was fucked to start with.
Why did you expect them to save the world? They are bankers, what they do is 'make money'.Maybe is time to look at politicians allowing this to happen, or the truly rotten society that start a gang war over a post code or set buildings alight because people deserve... an ipod?
Or benefit cheats that haven't worked in 20 years and complain because their offspring cannot afford a jobless life as well (while they live in a house that cost to public taxpayers about 2 times my salary).
- LOL, reallyGeorgesII
- They are such a tiny part of the problem we can forget about them. Read the Guardian not the Mail ;)Projectile
- don't lecture me about newspapers, you lefty bugger! You think politicians are a small part of the problem?!maikel
