what's good practice for putting a company website url on a business card when there's already an email address containing that url?
in this case, the website isn't exactly a crucial component of the brand, however i'm nervous about implying that there is no website. it certainly looks cleaner without the website url.
thoughts?

Definitely have it. You're assuming folks will be smart enough to realize that. I'll bet that if you handed that to 100 people in a corporate setting and asked them to go to the web address of that business, half of them wouldn't figure it out.
"Uhhh, I only see an email address..."
I could totally be making that up though.

I typically separate general business info (address, main number, url) from info specific to the person whose card it is (their direct line, cell, email, etc). Maybe running small across the bottom, or locked up with the logo somehow. Or whatever makes sense for the design at hand.

1. have a ring made, approximately the same dimensions as a business card
2. emboss your name and website on the front (do NOT put www in the web address)
3. punch potential clients in the head
4. when they look in the mirror, they will see your contact info
5. profit
