Brock would kill me for posting this in a 'dub techno' forum, but it fits nicely into the genre without being of the genre itself. I saw him play this back in Chicago (in 2011) in his first live performance. Just stunning on a proper sound system.

Echospace [detroit] launched their Bandcamp site about a month ago...some real gems here—

I need to rant about Deepchord for a minute. They released #7-#12 (7,8,9 & 10,11,12 respectively) as limited edition cd's. 50 of each group. Well, obviously these sold out in five fucking seconds. For those unaware, these records regularly go for $50-$100 a piece, if they're available at all.Don't these guys realize that people are just going to steal this shit instead? I have 7-9 on vinyl, but never got 10-12 unfortunately. Since they're not available, I downloaded the vinyl rips, for free. I would gladly pay for these releases, but instead they get no money. Limited edition releases mean jack shit these days.
Anyways, I'm a massive deepchord fan, but this shit is just stupid.

@section_014 Yeah, I agree it's pretty stupid, and yeah, there's more demand for their stuff than they acknowledge with pressing, BUT I do know that since they're paying out for everything, they limit the runs to what they know will sell out. If they aren't cognizant of the greymarket sellers, well, I can't help them there, but like I said, they press what they know what will sell. You end up paying more for the releases, but they are stuck with unsold stock.
The bigger issue for me is that they're just so vinyl focused that they don't do digital releases for a lot of this stuff (or even multi-CDs). But that's just their way.
- That's what I'm saying. Just put it out digitally already. All the new deepchord stuff is.section_014
- True, but Deepchord isn't really releasing anything on echospace. It's almost all on Soma.skwiotsmith
