Yosemite is pants at running a second screen that has different resolution to an iMac. In CC, menus on the second screen are unusable unless the displays are aligned to the bottom in System/Displays/Arrangement. There's a lot of forum grumpiness on this too.
- Weird no issues with two side aligned displays here.monospaced

Apple is about three years behind in all aspects of design including: user interface, user experience, typography, flat design, etc... There shit just looks dated and amateurish.
Sir Jonathan Paul "Jony" Ive has his head stuck up his shit pipe.

I'll wait for the final release and then a bit more.

Has anyone had problems opening iTunes in Yosemite? I can't get it to open. I have the new red icon, and I've restarted since upgrade, and it just won't open.

Just installed. Slowed after effects cc RIGHT down on the RAM preview. Not updated all my CC apps yet though.

Got it on my iMac and Air right now...dig the flatness. Still not sold on Helvetica as a screen font.
- ukit20
Helvetica might not be the best in terms of readability on non retina screen, but I prefer the more neutral feel of it compared with Lucida and the fonts Microsoft is using on Windows.

lol, IT guy sent an email for the second time that anyone updating to yosemite would be fucked with a broom,
loud and clear,

ok, just installed it. So far everything works.
It feels a bit faster and snappier.

Just installed too. Was expecting some of my older apps to just pooch out entirely but they're still at it (Billings 3, Adobe CS6, etc.) I like the flatness ive been jonesin for it for a while now, so im glad to see it realized.

^ That comparison is so outdated though. Droid Sans / Roboto (Google screen font) is lightyears ahead of Helvetica for the screen (Droid). Can't tell me a thing otherwise.
- also it's too fucking widesublocked
- How dogmatic of you. Sounds familiar.monospaced
- Agreed dude. Helvetica is a good print font, not screen.Hombre_Lobo

I'm really glad the clicking the maximize button now actually maximizes in a way similar to that of Windows, but it sucks that on a dual-screen setup, once you maximize say Chrome for example, you can't drag a finder window or anything else over to that screen. So they have effectively removed the little arrows that can be seen in the top right of this image:
and they have passed that functionality over to the green maximize button. Why?!?!?!?

Apparently Safari and Spotlight send Apple all sorts of data about you:

Feels fast, snappy and solid. safari is fast as hell too, great on battery life. I say jump in...

Just finished upgrading. Going to take some time to get used to a few things.
Safari is really, really bugging me. I don't like the forwards backwards buttons on the same row as the Close/Collapse/Expand button. I keep expecting them to by directly beneath those buttons like they've always been:
I think the tab labels are too light in weight and color. The open another tab + sign button looks odd, feels like an afterthought. I know I'll get used to it, but at first use Safari feels unfinished.
I wish there were an easier way to organize Launchpad. Other than that, shine on you crazy apples.
- use chrome? I gave up on overflow tabs on safari2002
- chrome is SHITdoesnotexist
- something fishy with that pic, no qbn in your top-hits. suspicious.Gnash

How to zoom instead of maximize in Yosemite:
- lajj0
installed it on my slow ass MB pro early 2011.
Safari seems cool, Chrome is slow as hell.
Youtube videos dont even show up in the vid of the day thread.I like it, my machine seems faster even.
My only wish is for a unified Google/Apple contact and email system.
