Hello my fellow brethren,
I'm looking for a way to capture 4 pictures at once using either a webcam or a 4 dlsr, did anyone shoot with more than two cameras at once?
please let me know how you did it,
so far I found this but I'm not sure it will work for multiple cams

1. canon compact cameras
2. download CHDK - http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK
3. Use 'lighting mode' to trigger shutter release on flash
4. Pop a flash to trigger all cameras

or some more expensive cams have a plugable remote trigger option that you could activate using a pocket wizard or similar.

if the the cameras have an IR trigger and they face the same way, shoot an IR beam and they will all fire

If anyone's interested, I ended up doing it by myself using 4 webcams and processing to write a script that would capture 4 feeds at once,
- problem I had to solve was pumping enough juice to power all cameras at once (strangely it wouldn't work with my powered usb router), I also decreased the frame rate to 10/sec,
the poor laptop still run hot as hell, but I'll use an old G5 so it should be alright, right now it looks like shit because I have two different webcam models with different optics,
what I wanted to achieve,
where I'm at, still look like shit, but once I get the same webcams it should be alright

there's an old sw called cam2com that does that for windows
http://www.sabsik.com/Cam2Com/- forget that, only supports some old powershots and olympus cams.uan
