Press F a few times to get a black "canvas" then press L for Loupe. That'll make the image fullscreen.

Yeah, none of these suggestions work in 4.3... maybe I'll upgrade.

when in full screen try “Ctrl + J”

Or, if I'm working in full screen mode, is there another shortcut that hides EVERYTHING except the photo AND makes it the full size of my monitor?

i swear i have never seen that message before. maybe that's because the only shortcut i use to view images fullscreen is just F without any of the cmd-shift bollocks

- F changes the app to Fullscreen mode, gives me a message to "press F to exit..." but doesn't hide the panels.nb

pressing F makes photo full screen with nothing else. Never seen that message.
