What are people using for freelance time tracking? I'm currently using FreshBooks: https://www.freshbooks.com but don't love it.
I've read that Harvest: https://www.getharvest.com is good but would love to hear first hand if anyone uses it.
Other than those two, any other good options out there?

- I don't see anything for invoicing?CuriousGeorge
- You just said "Time Tracking Software" ;-)formed
- You can do invoicing with it. Have to use the pro version or something. I think it's a great time tracker and use it all the time.monospaced

I have been using Harvest for like 8 years. It's ok.
For my freelancing I use "Billings".
I love it. It does what I what I want. Obviously has a clock to track your time an you can set it to stop if the computer has been inactive for a set amount of time. You can get reports on your time, expenses, clients, taxes...... you can invoice, can be integrated and synced through various devices...

oh by the way... They went from "Billings" to "BIllings Pro" which means you now pay a small monthly fee. I use still use "Billings" when I got the program and paid outright for it. It was very cheap. I don't have to pay monthly fees or anything. You can actually find Billings with a serial number if that's the kind of thing you do. Unfortunately you can't just just buy the program like before.

- This looks good. Pity there's no self-hosting option, though. Which pisses me off about ALL of these apps.Continuity

Used Harvest for years. Love it. You can test with a free account which is limited to 2 projects.

Just started using Togl, super simple to use.
For Invoicing I just started trying out slimvoice.co really easy to use as well but may be too simple.

Been using it for the past 5 years and love it.

You can try https://elapseit.com/. It's something similar with harvest.
You can keep easy track of your working hours and simple issue the invoice based on that.

our team switched from harvest to Ative Collab apparently because its cheaper and has more options according to our PM, they're all the same to me, I think messaging sucks in both, slack seemed to be good for that

Not time tracking but task tracking app I saw an advert for the other day, clicked through to check it out and it looks pretty decent.

I left harvest for TrackingTime, UI is really nice. Works on desktop, mobile an web.
https://trackingtime.co/- Mina reason for leaving HARVEST Miguex? Price (Seems to be $4.99 Per user per month?)
OR just in need of a change?!ideaist - Mina = Main...
; )ideaist - well, this one is free.
I was using Harvest because one of my clients made me use it, but I don't work with them any longer.
There is a PRO version as wellMiguex - But I don't need it yetMiguex

Toggl is great!
Unfortunately it doesn't work with my actual Billing Software.I was using a Dutch Billing Software and it would integrate with Toggl, pretty handy.
Now I still use it but I can not translate the info directly to the invoices.
