Starting today, all political discussions must take place only within the Politics thread. http://www.qbn.com/topics/566232…...
This includes the 2016 election, specific candidates, world politics, anything to do with governments, elections, etc.
Anyone posting political content - whether as new threads, as thread replies, or as sidebar comments, outside this thread will receive a strike against their account. Three strikes, and your account will be frozen. Anyone attempting to test this new protocol under the guise of cluelessly posting a new political thread will receive a strike, no questions asked.
Anyone engaging in obvious antagonization of a political or personal nature against other members will receive a strike. Three strikes, and your account will be frozen.
The constant bickering and negativity that is impacting far too many threads and conversations needs to end. This is how it ends.
If you don’t like this, or do not agree with it, you are welcome to go somewhere else. We are confident that the few members responsible for the proliferation of political content are not going to be missed. You may think your participation is critical to QBN. It is not. The handful of you that are so addicted to antagonizing each other, and constantly challenging each other to flaunt a sense of superiority do not represent the majority here. If anything, a reduction of your actions will make the majority here much happier.
Going forward, we will rely on the community to self-police as it always has, and request that you flag political post occurring outside the official thread. A moderator will review, and delete if necessary. Again, if you do not like this, you are welcome to stop visiting QBN and instead go elsewhere on the web to engage in rampant political discussions.
These changes are effective 1:00pm EST Thursday June 2nd, 2016.
